Your Virtual Physio.
We're shifting the access to healthcare with Physiotherapy from the comfort of your own home.
Beyond a hands-on approach.
We’ve moved past a traditional in-person model of physiotherapy to give you a virtual physiotherapy practice. We want to make quality healthcare available to anyone, anywhere.
Why? We believe physiotherapy is more than what a foam roller can do for you. We empathise, educate and empower. Better care, less travel costs and less time spent in waiting rooms.
Conditions we treat.
Lower Back Pain
Shoulder Pain
Osteoarthritis
Knee Pain
Chronic Pain
How does virtual physiotherapy work?
Book an Appointment
Simply book an appointment through our online platform. Or if you’d like to know more about us and how we can help you, send us an enquiry.
Initial Consultation
The Keep Well experience all starts with your story. From there, we work together to figure out what might be contributing to your pain/injury. Together we create a plan that’s achievable and helps you work towards your goals. Our programs are more than just a set of exercises. We design these around your symptoms, what you can do, what you want to do and what form of movement you value the most.
Follow Up Consultation
As you progress along your journey, your symptoms are likely to change. For this reason, so will your program. This will be different for each individual and we may recommend seeing you again.
Keep Well
Our aim is to teach you how to manage your injury, independently at home. This way, you’ll be empowered to take your injury into your own hands without relying on regular physiotherapy. You’ll also have access to email support from your physiotherapist in between consults.
Why Telehealth?
You can't be helped, until you've been heard.
Telehealth gives you the opportunity to receive professional advice for your pain, without the hassle. No driving to the physio or sitting in waiting rooms.
Our approach at Keep Well focuses on education and movement. This is something we value and that can be achieved both in person and virtually. There is a large body of research that supports the use of telehealth for pain management. Our aim at Keep Well Physio is to provide you with the knowledge and power to take control of your injury at home, so you can manage your pain independently with confidence.
About Us.
Meet Maddy.
Maddy is the founder of Keep Well Physio. She has a professional background in both Physiotherapy and Pilates. She has previously worked in private practice settings, alongside sporting teams and with National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) clients in a community setting.
Maddy is passionate about taking a holistic approach to injury management, by looking at your injury from a biopsychosocial perspective. Instead of focusing on your physical injury in isolation, you will work together to map out all contributing factors to your pain and create a plan from there.
Maddy is also passionate about providing quality healthcare to people who may not have access to face-to-face physiotherapy. Having grown up in a rural area, Maddy wants to make sure that people who can’t travel, still get the best care possible.
Payment Methods.
Medicare
If you’re eligible for an Enhanced Primary Care plan through Medicare, you’ll need a referral from your GP. Please email this prior to your first appointment. Please be aware of the gap-fee.
Private Health
Depending on your level of private health cover, you may be able to claim a rebate for your physiotherapy appointment. Please contact your health fund and refer to your level of cover. If you are making a claim, you can use the invoice that is emailed to you after your appointment.
Self-funded
No private health or Medicare? No problems. Prior to your initial consultation you’ll be given the chance to pay for your appointment through the online booking system.
FAQs.
An online consultation is very similar to a regular face to face consultation. Using telehealth, your physiotherapist will listen to your story to get an understanding about you and your injury. During the consult, your physiotherapist may ask you to complete a variety of different movements or exercises to assist with a diagnosis. This will then be followed by your treatment plan. This is likely to include advice and education around your pain/injury, recommended coping strategies, behavioural changes, load management and an exercise program.
Video consultations are completed using Coviu – a telehealth platform for allied health care. You will receive a link to your video appointment prior to your session with details on how to set this up.
To optimise your time with your physiotherapist, please ensure you have a stable internet connection, adequate lighting, enough space to move around, and wear suitable clothing to allow for this.
‘Traditional’ methods of physiotherapy have previously included some type of hands-on therapy during a session. At Keep Well Physio, our focus is on active rehabilitation. This means rather than focusing on passive treatments from a physiotherapist, you will be guided by a physiotherapist on active movements that can provide you long term pain relief via an online platform. There is a large body of research to support this way forward.
